A scrappage scheme run by authorized dismantlers will typically involve the following process. Drop your vehicle off at our recycling plant, you will be asked to provide proof of ownership and receive an official document that states your vehicle has been scrapped. The vehicle will be de-polluted, any hazardous components like tires, fluids and electrical items will be removed from the vehicle. Scrap metal from the vehicle which still holds monetary value will be removed from the vehicle such as steel and aluminum. Once the vehicle has been depolluted and all scrap metal has been removed from the vehicle, the remaining shell of the vehicle is crushed and baled ready for recycling.
